Local Organic Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Organic SEO

Organic SEO

Organic search engine optimization is when you work on getting found without paying for ads. You pay to get your website tweaked and modified so that the search engines find the information better — on-going support for the latest changes the search engines put out. The search engines go through over 400 updates per year.

It would be best to have a solid digital marketing foundation of organic SEO, as many web users are smart and ignore targeted paid ads.

Local SEO

Local SEO

When people come to us, they know they need search engine optimization or SEO. Whether you have a physical location or are a service-based business with no physical location, Local SEO will work for you.

Local SEO is a digital marketing strategy that targets the local market through search engine optimization tactics. It’s perfect for service-based businesses or businesses located in a specific area that don’t want to target a nationwide audience.

Local and National Directories

Local & National Directories

Think of directories as digital versions of the White and Yellow Pages. These two directories work for both local and national SEO campaigns. You should not be in every directory but the directories that align with your business. If you are a farmer looking to improve your SEO, you need to be in all farming related online directories. Being in online directories related to steel manufacturing wouldn't benefit you in your business's growth.

Technical SEO Audit

Technical SEO Audit

Technical SEO is the discipline responsible for determining whether the implementation of a website reduces the organic search traffic coming to that site, and then fixing those implementation problems. A technical audit uncovers such issues and is marked as high, medium, and low priorities.

Name, Address, and Phone Number (NAP)

Name, Address, and Phone Number (NAP)

A key aspect of your SEO strategy is where your name, address, and phone number match on every website; this includes social media. A site will often list your name but not your address, phone number, or even your website. Search engines are smart enough to know this is you and is considered a citation (or mention) of your business. Other times an address or phone number will be shown and are also a mention of your business.

Consistency is key here. If you abbreviate one, then shorten it everywhere. Do not abbreviate unless it is required, as not everyone may know what your abbreviation means.

How we build citations to your website

First, we don't own Google or Bing. We wish we did as then we could do a guarantee on everything. Being that we don't own the search engines below is what we routinely see as results to our clients:

  • Day 1 - Campaign started, we add you into our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system, create spreadsheets for tracking, and set a schedule for the team member(s) that will be working on your project.
  • Days 2-4 - Pre-submission data accuracy check where we have two people verify everything that will be submitted so that we have the most accurate data. This does require the information to also be verified by you.
  • Days 4-9 - Submissions to the specific search engines, social media platforms, and directories to be listed on.
  • Days 9-14 - Campaign QA checks completed. Another team member verifies everything that was submitted and that it was submitted exactly as expected.
  • Days 15-23 - 1st live listing check completed and report updated.
  • Days 24-38 - 2nd live listing check (more links added to campaign report) and verified.
  • Days 39-60 - 3rd live listing check (remaining live links added to report) and verified.
  • Day 61 - The Excel spreadsheet we are working off of is provided with references to everything completed and anything currently outstanding.

What happens each month in regard to the Search Engines

During the initial submissions to the search engines we are actively doing the following:

  • Updating your WordPress, or other website, based on reports from our system. These include spelling fixes, speed improvements, and making certain every page and image has good SEO best practices being done on them.
  • We program in keyword phrases you are wanting to be found under and work on suggesting and making changes to the site, with approval, to achieve those objectives.
  • Automated monthly reports are provided to who needs them. We receive them as well to verify them. If we see anything that was sent out that we know could be confusing we will follow-up with an email to cover those. At anytime you can ask (phone, email, Zoom, or in-person if you're withing driving distance of Northwets Indiana) to go over anything you have questions on.
  • Each week we receive reports from our software and work on making changes based on recommendations on the software to achieve search engine best practices.
